Please review the following policies before you complete your registration:
 

REGISTRATION POLICY:

All registrations are processed through online.  Early registration is highly recommended; classes may close early if filled up.

Both On-demand and Webinar classes may be subjected to technical difficulties beyond our control. AEI will work to correct the problems as soon as possible.
 

Both On-demand and Webinar fees must be pre-paid by one of the following methods: check, money order, or Credit Card online.

A $50.00 fee will be charged on any checks returned for insufficient funds.

Registration is provided solely for the use of the student registered for the specific class. No sharing is allowed of the study materials or access to the webinars or recordings. See Copyright agreement below.

AEI reserves the right to accept or reject registrations.

If you register during any particular season (spring or fall) and you plan to take the exam in the following season, you will get an extension to access the materials with the condition that your free repeat has been exhausted.

All registration to CA Seismic is subject to the following Access Limits:

  • Unlimited access to all recordings and CBT exams
  • Up to 180 days or until exam day, which ever comes first, from first registration date
  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

All registration to Civil PE CBT Exam is subject to the following Access Limits:

  • Unlimited access to all recordings and CBT exams
  • Up to 240 days from first registration date or until exam day, whichever comes first.
  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

All registration to Structural Engineer (SE) Exam: Vertical and Lateral, is subject to the following Access Limits:

      Building Depth or Bridge Depth Classes:

  • Unlimited access to all recordings and CBT homework and exams until exam day in April or October.
  • Free repeat with proof of exam results. One time, granted for the following exam administration, April or October. 

     Breadth Class:

  • Unlimited access to all recordings and CBT homework and exams
  • Up to 240 days from first registration date or until exam day, whichever comes first.
  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

REFUND POLICY (Webinar):

  • A full refund will be provided when student cancels before start of the first class and when study materials (Digital Class Binder) have not been printed. The full refund shall subtract 3 % credit card transaction fees, if paying via online registration.
  • A 60% refund will be provided when student cancels before the first class after study materials (Digital Class Binder) have been printed.  Refund will be processed via a check. 
  • No refunds will be given on or after the first class date.
  • If the student request and was granted access to the On-demand recordings, the refund policy for the On-demand shall apply.

  • A full refund will be provided when student cancels within one week (7 days) and before the study materials (Digital Class Binder) have not been printed. The full refund shall subtract 3 % credit card transaction fees, if paying via online registration.
  • A 60% refund will be provided when student cancels within one week (7 days) and after the study materials (Digital Class Binder) have been printed. Refund will be processed via a check.
  • No refunds will be provided after one week (7 days) form the date of registration.

 

REPEAT POLICY:

AEI wishes the best for you to pass the exam. However, if you do not pass in your first attempt, you can repeat the same class you initially registered in, as On-demand, one free time. The following conditions apply to repeat class participants.

Your one time free repeat has to be redeemed as following: 

CA Seismic

  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

Civil PE CBT Exam

  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

Structural Engineer (SE)

Building Depth or Bridge Depth Classes:

  • Free repeat with proof of exam results. One time, granted for the following exam administration, April or October. 
  • AEI will not approve delaying repeat redemption to a future season (exam administration) beyond the season following initial registration. A new purchase would be required if free repeat is not used the following season.

Breadth Class:

  • Up to 120 days or until exam day, whichever comes first, one time free repeat with proof of exam results and requested within one year from first registration date.

 

You must submit the NCEES/CA Board results showing the unsuccessful result or no show.

You must re-enroll in the same class you signed up for initially.  If you decide to change to a different class, a new purchase is required.

This complimentary repeat course offer is not transferable to another person or another class.

 

 

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:

AEI will try its best to follow the schedule and maintain all classes. However, due to unforeseen reasons and low enrollment in a module, AEI may cancel the live class and will issue a full refund. All AEI classes have a minimum requirement of ten (10) enrollments to offer the live sessions.  

 

CLASS EXPECTATION POLICY:

AEI instructors expect the following from all class participants:

Regular submittal of your homework, participating in the class exams, and following the instructions provided during your first welcome enrollment. Our goal is for you to pass the exam in your first attempt so we ask you to work hard.

Attendance of at least 75% of the live sessions scheduled or completely watch the recordings.

Class Instructor will respond to your questions during the class time.  For additional questions, please log on to AEI portal and send your questions to the instructor. You will receive a response to your question within 2 business days. Class instructors shall not provide response to questions that are not related to the exam and/or not within the scope of the class. 

 

ELECTRONIC CONTENT SHARE POLICY:

Instructors will not share any class binder contents via email or any other format (word, PDF, etc..). 

 

HANDOUTS AND SIMULATED EXAM (CIVIL PE AND SE CLASSES):

Civil PE Breadth and Depth Class binders and SE Vertical and Lateral Breadth, Building Depth and Bridge Depth Handout materials are provided as digital secured documents.

  • Class participants will require to install a special viewer and a license to be able to view the secured documents.
  • The Class binders and Handout materials are licensed to ONE (1) computer with ONE (1) time allowance to print.

Please allow one (1) business day to create the class participant’s account and email the license to view the class binder and handout materials.

AEI does NOT sell any class binder without registration to the class.

 

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION POLICY:

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon request at the end of the class. Each registrant must attend 75% of the total class sessions,  must submit 75% of class online mini exams/homework and must return a completed class evaluation at the end of the classes in order to receive the certificate of completion.

 

COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT:

All materials provided to you by AEI including class handouts and class recordings for on-demand, and webinar sessions are the property of AEI.  They are provided solely for the use of the student registered for the specific class.  Any attempt to share the study materials and the access to the recordings are strictly forbidden and violate AEI registration policy.  Sharing the registration (or halfsies) constitute a violation of AEI registration policy and will result in annulment of the violator’s registration and access privilege with no refund. 

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT:

All information supplied by participants will be maintained for a period of three years. No release of any information will be done without the expressed written consent of the participant.

Lectures presented in the different classes as well as the handouts and materials provided, represent the opinions of various professionals preparing the materials as a resource for those taking examinations and so do not represent the official position taken by the agencies that administer and grade the examinations.

The professionals who lecture, or those who prepare the handouts, or the owners of AEI are in no way responsible for the failure of registrants in the exam, or liable for errors or omissions in the solutions, or in the way they are interpreted by the registrants or others.
